The Tale Behind Our Company
How we Started
Chompers & Co, previously known as Human Grade Doggie Cusine, first started 17 years ago. When our founder's family dog’s quality of life started deteriorating. After a lot of research, trying different types of dog food, and discovering how a lot of commercial dog food was made and the ingredients in it, they set out to find a better alternative. After months and months of consulting with nutrients, testing and baking human grade dog food they came up with a formula consisting of 27 whole ingredients that together provide what is needed to maintain a healthy dog.
At first they just fed it to their dog, and as word spread, their family and friends' dogs. The dogs loved the taste and were always eager to eat at meal time. They saw improvements in the dogs’ energy levels, appetite, coat and overall health. The demand for the product continued to grow and is now available in stores across Ontario and has been around for 17 years!
While our founders are now enjoying retirement they have left the company with friends and family who share the same passion and values, and have fed Chompers & Co. to all their furry family members.

Our Commitment to Quality
To ensure the quality of Chompers & Co’s food, the product is baked at low temperatures and then frozen to ensure consistent quality, taste and texture. We have continued to lab test our products over the years to ensure that the quality and nutrition values are still being maintained. And, over the years we have not strayed away from the high quality ingredients or amounts required to produce a superior product regardless of increasing costs of including these high quality ingredients.
